Saint Vincent de Paul Ministry
providing assistance to those in need through St. Augustine Parish in Brandon
ABOUT St. Augustine's SAINT VINCENT de PAUL Ministry :
The mission of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is to live the Gospel by serving Christ in the poor. One of the ways that we do this is by operating a food hamper distribution here at St. Augustine’s parish each Wednesday for individuals and families in need from the Brandon area. Those who receive a food hamper are eligible to come once every 4 weeks. This allows us to provide for a greater number of people who are in need.
The Saint Vincent de Paul Society is an international association of Catholic lay people devoted to the service of the poor and disadvantaged. Our local work is solely financed by the members of St. Augustine’s parish, through monthly collections. The monies received by the collection and other individual donations, goes toward handing out the food hampers at the parish. This ministry also receives donations of furniture and household items that are given to those in need.

FOR YOUR DONATIONS and CONTINUED SUPPORT TO THIS MINISTRY,
“The 'daily bread' asked of God in the 'Our Father' is for everyone,
and Christians will be judged by how well they shared their gifts with those in need.
Food is not private property, but providence to be shared with the grace of God.”
